JERUSALEM (VINnews) — BDE: Captain Alon Sacagiu, A 22-year-old IDF sniper from Hadera, fell during a military operation in Jenin.

His funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at the Hadera cemetery.
During the incident in which Captain Alon Sacagiu fell, a soldier from the Haruv Reconnaissance Unit of the Kfir Brigade was severely injured and fifteen others soldiers were lightly and moderately injured.
According to an initial IDF probe, a Panther armored personnel carrier (APC) was hit by a bomb planted under a road in Jenin during the operation, which took place at around midnight between Wednesday and Thursday. The soldiers inside the APC were lightly hurt by the blast. As additional forces reached the scene and worked to evacuate the wounded soldiers, another bomb exploded, leading to the death of Cpt. Sacagiu and the injury of additional troops.
The Islamic Jihad terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the attack.
In all, 16 soldiers were wounded by the bombs — one seriously, five moderately and the rest lightly.
Before the APC drove along the road where the attack took place, a military D9 bulldozer and backhoe had scraped the road to uncover any potential improvised explosive devices. Armed groups in Jenin frequently plant explosive devices under roads to attack Israeli forces carrying out arrest raids, and as such, the military rips up the roads with armored bulldozers before entering with lighter-armed vehicles.
Still, the two large explosive devices were not discovered by the bulldozer and backhoe, and the military believes that they were planted much deeper in the ground than usual. The IDF was also probing how the bombs were activated, either by wire or wirelessly.
Sacagui and the more seriously wounded soldiers were all outside their armored vehicle when the second bomb went off, according to the IDF’s initial probe. The APC was largely able to protect the soldiers from the initial attack, with only minor injuries from the blast and smoke inhalation.
All these combat troop deaths are from the ranks of Second Israel – “settlers”, mizrachim, religious-zionists. First Israel – secular progressives & post-zionists – is elitist, exclusionary, often anarchic, & supplies the perpetual protests against the state. These elites abrogated their duties & obligations – this brought us 10/7. They had no war plans & no weapons stockpiles so they have had to kowtow to the Arabist Biden WH whose interference in the war from day 1 has been disastrous.
Finally, they refuse to accept responsibility for what they have wrought.
They are too westernised & fearful of personal sanctions eg ICC to win this war. They must resign to open the way for respected men from the ranks like Winter who understand the position & put Israel first.
