The testimony came during a closed door grievance hearing.
Sources say that one sergeant even produced a memo from a commander spelling out just how many traffic summonses and quality-of-life tickets they needed to give out to avoid getting a poor performance review.

bk – thanks for the important info. My husband and I were just talking this morning about a certain spot where people are always getting tickets – including myself. It’s on 15th ave. near Kerekes bakery. There’s a pedestrian ramp in middle of the street and people don’t realize it. It’s a $165 dollar ticket! I would have been better off double parking!
It’s just about time that somebody is finally speaking out on this very bitter issue that has been plaguing us all for such a long time.

The issue here is very simple, writing out a ticket in Boro Park does not make an Officer an Anti Semite, in and of itself.
Selectively enforcing petty violations only in heavy Chasidishe neighborhoods for months and years does!
The above Officers have no problem sitting in Ess and Bentch right next table from your wife and Kinderlach and handing her a summons 10 minutes later because she unbuckled her seatbelt at the traffic light to calm a screaming child.
The above officers also love Erev Shabbos and Yom Tov, they will sit on 16th Ave and just pounce on all the hassled frum Balebustas, while they themselves are double parked tying up the already congested thourofare.
Officers who display such a lack of discretion and a lack of sensitivity to our community, do not deserve the relative safety and comfort of working in our precinct.

In the middle of the winter a private individual contacted the commander and these officers were assigned to a post on Ocean Parkway. After a while they came back and the are more zealous in their mission then ever.
The only thing that changed was that the old Commander, Deputy Inspector Mcallister, left. Now there is a new Commander his name is Peter A. DeBlasio.
I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt at this time and say that he is unaware of the high tension and resentment this particular team of Officers have caused.
Somebody out there should call his attention to this mess before there is a scandal.
It’s a pity but Felder and Hikind are a waste of time, If they wanted to they could’ve done something about this long ago.

one was about hatzalah, then another about an incident in crown hights. the one about the fire was “gold”, since they also don’t like the FD.

43 a car was parked by a meter wich had 17 min left. a 66 pct car was parked on 13
