He pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny this morning in Court, after an investigation by police and the DA’s Office determined he had been stealing about $1,000 a week between April and December last year.
He was a supervisor who would empty meters and also had access to the money collected by other employees. He would store the coins in a camera bag kept in his car and frequently cash them in at supermarkets around the country.
The grand larceny charge carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison but he is expected to get probation when he is sentenced in December.
