Suffolk Police Have Different Opinion On Who Vandalized The Menorah At The Plaza Shopping Center

Holbrook, L.I. – Police received a report on Dec. 14 that the large Menorah at the Plaza Shopping Center on Main Street was damaged by vanals and lying on the ground.

So they went and looked at surveillance tapes from area businesses and could not see any person tampering with the menorah, just mother nature and not vandals damaged the menorah.

Police said the menorah was constructed with PVC pipe which became brittle in the 14 degree temperartures and then collapsed, and it wasn’t a hate crime as previously reported.
