The CIA has authenticated the voice on a tape played by al-Jazeera as Osama bin Laden, an agency official said.
along comes our beloved mayor and says
Mayor Michael Bloomberg — asked about an audiotape that might be from Osama bin Laden — says New Yorkers should go about their business as usual.
Bloomberg also stresses that there have been no specific threats to New York City.
As the mayor puts it: “When you see something like this, people’s antennas are up… But fundamentally we treat today like any other day.”
