There was a parade of 56 mitzvah tanks (with a police escort) corresponding to the 56 years of his leadership in honor of his 104th birthday 11 Nison, it left crown heights around 11:00am and crossed over the Manhattan bridge in to Manhattan then when it finished the they gave out matzah , shabbos candles and put on Tffilon with people
I would like to say to the organizers and all the bachurim and yungelyt that make this parade happen a yasher coyach.

Just like Moshe Rabeinu’s birthday on Zayin Adar was the cause of Haman’s plot failing. Since a Tzadiks birthday has an eternal affect even after the Histalkus.

interesting, you know its amazing they still do that…but it goes to show you the Rebbe unfortunately has passed away.. for now at least;)…but his legacy lives on….evidently he’s done a heck of alot for Judaism and world Jewry as a whole that they’d keep honoring his birthday.
I have to admit I’ve never been without Kosher food and jewish soul back-up in the many many years I’ve traveled around the world….you just can’t knock that.
