Lakewood, NJ +Abduction Of Girl+ Last night at about 20:30 hours a 19-year-old girl from Lakewood NJ has been abducted, bound, gagged and taken away from Trim Gym at Route 9 near the Shop Rite supermarket parking lot, by a white man in a dark green Jeep, PD reporting that the girl has now been located safely, after being dropped off this morning about 5:00 at the same spot near her parked car, large investigation ongoing.

NYPD is assisting Lakewood, NJ PD in ascertaining if the abducter is the same person who is sought in the recent abduction attempts in Boro Park. They are looking for a white man, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8 with a shaved head.

LAKEWOOD — Police today are still searching for the man who they say abducted and sexually assaulted a township woman before letting her go earlier this week.
In addition, a group of religious advisers in Lakewood is offering a reward in the case.
The Lakewood Vaad, a council of rabbis from the town, has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the woman’s abduction and assault.
The woman, whose identity is not being released, was taken from a parking lot outside of her health club Sunday night and released early the next morning in the same area.
Authorities are looking for a white male in his mid-20s to early 30s, with a thin build, short brown hair and possibly wearing a short, trimmed goatee. They are also searching for a four-door, green Jeep Cherokee, Limited Edition from the years 1995 to 1997 with gold rims and tinted windows in the rear of the vehicle.
Police had originally been investigating the possibility that this incident was related to several recent attempted abductions of younger girls in Borough Park, a largely Orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn.
But Lakewood police Capt. Robert Lawson said after consulting with New York City police, authorities do not believe at this time that “the incidents are necessarily related.”

4:30 pm Mayor Meir Lichtenstein has just released a statement stating that a large reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in Sunday night’s abduction.
U/D: There was a rumor that they got the guy, but someone checked with the Lakewood Police Department and they say they dont have him yet.

As of this afternoon, police still have not caught a man they say abducted a 20-year-old woman and raped her Sunday night after she had worked out at a local gym.
Police were following “several promising leads” in the case but had not made an arrest, police Capt. Robert Lawson said during a Monday news conference.
Police did release a sketch of the suspect who is described as a white man in his mid-20s to early 30s, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9, with a thin or medium build, and closely cropped, brown hair……
This is the latest update from the asbury park news prerepeating the old line the police said yesterday that they have some leads..so as of now it looks like no new news to report…

To the Chevrahman: I dont have any need for anything, i just wanted to correct a comment. If the chief prosecutory of ocean county said in his press conference that she was sexually assaulted, then he got that inforamtion from the girl herself. Before giving a press conference the prosecutor reviews with the victim and her family exactly what is going to be disclosed and what not. It is only after their approval that this information is released. Why deny something that everyone knows to be true.

Maybe we can find a way to blame this tragedy too on Satmar so everyone can be busy figuring out WHICH Satmar is to blame.
she is single and from a yeshivishe family she assaulted no reason to dwell further – she was grabbed while getting into her vehicle and returned the very next morning – there is nothing further to discuss at this point for the respect of the family this issue should be put to rest and respect their privacy while they go through this traumatic experience

where did he take her for 7 hours did he drive around for 7 hours with her in the car or was she taken elsewhere ?
Are there any more details on the nature of the abduction and about waht happened to her. There seem to be alot of conflictiong versions also regarding how she was found. Could anybody clear it up?

LAKEWOOD, NJ Police in Ocean County are investigating the alleged abduction of a 20-year-old Lakewood woman.
The woman, police say, was abducted around 10 p.m. Sunday from a parking lot along adjacent to the Trim Gym along Route 9.
When the victim did not return home from the gym where she exercised, her parents became concerned and went in search of her. They found her car, unattended, with the front door open and her cell phone on the seat. The woman’s parents then called 911.
Police say the woman was grabbed while getting into her car and was thrown into another vehicle.
“She touched the door handle and felt something sticky somebody put there and as she was getting in somebody pulled up behind her and grabbed her,” said a family friend Samuel Levy.
Nearly seven hours later the attacker returned the woman to the area where she had been abducted from and dropped her off while family and authorities searched the area nearby.
“The victim was confirmed to have been sexually assaulted,” said police.
Police say the victim, with her hands bound and eye covered, flagged down a passing motorist who then called 911 early Monday morning.
The woman was taken to Kimball Medical Center where she underwent treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
News of the abduction had members of the Orthodox Jewish community on edge.
“Very nervous, yeah, they need more security here,” said a 25-year-old woman who wished to remain anonymous.
No arrests have been made and the Ocean County District Attorney’s Office says they are not releasing a description at this time because they do not want to hinder the investigation.
“We will apprehend the animal that committed this horrible crime,” said Lakewood Mayor Meir Lichtenstein.
Police do not believe the woman knew her attacker and say there are similarities between this crime and an attack that happened in New York so Lakewood police are working with NYPD to see if there is a connection.

LAKEWOOD — A young woman was abducted late Sunday night and returned early this morning, police confirmed.
The woman, about 20 years old, was leaving Trim Gym, a fitness center in the ShopRite plaza at Kennedy Boulevard and Route 9. The woman is believed to have put her personal belongings in her car when she was abducted, said Joe Atlas, a spokesman for Lakewood’s Orthodox Jewish community, of which the woman is a member.
Few details have emerged of the woman’s time in captivity, but Atlas said she was returned to the parking lot at about 5 a.m. Lakewood police have issued no formal statements but will hold a press conference with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office this afternoon in town hall.
The woman remains at Kimball Medical Center, where she is being treated for undisclosed injuries. Mayor Meir Lichtenstein said preliminary reports indicate no bias motivation in the attack. Atlas said the woman’s family and the rest of the community are thankful she is alive. They also thanked law enforcement for their help.
