Washington, DC – Event Will Honor American Who Rescued Jews From The Holocaust

    Washington, DC – An American diplomat who risked his career to rescue Jews from the Holocaust will be honored at a special event on Capitol Hill, May 24.
    The David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies and Wally Findlay Galleries International, in cooperation with U.S. Congressman Tom Lantos, are sponsoring the event, which is titled, “Hiram Bingham IV, an American Hero of the Holocaust: A Celebration in Honor of the Hiram Bingham IV U.S. Postage Stamp.”

    The program will highlight the incredible and little-known story of this American diplomat, who clandestinely worked with rescue hero Varian Fry to help Jewish refugees escape the Nazis.
