Iranian Jews Condemn Israeli Rabbi’s Statement

    Iran – Religious leader of the Iranian Jewish Community Yunes Hammami Lalehzar rejected the allegations of some Israeli rabbis who had claimed that “the Torah allows for the murder of women and children at the time of war.”

    “The phrase is not a Torah verse, rather it pertains to just the very exceptional case of seven nations who lived in Eretz Yisroel 3500 years ago,” he stressed.

    The Iranian Jewish Community strongly rejected the allegations of the Israeli rabbis, stressing that no part of the Torah mentioned such claims.

    The Jewish Community underlined that the killing of innocent women and children at the time of war is a blatant violation of the religious teachings of the Torah.

    Why are people always controversial??? They simply believe that it’s G-D’s will, & that’s it!!

    They are doing this for Pikuach Nefehs if they say what they really t hink about Israewl lthey would be put in Jail or be killed. I have some friends who are Iranian and they told me the Matzav is verty scary all JEws must go along with the Ayatolah police agents.

    There is precedent for this from the navi. When Shlomo Hamelech sent his chief of staff to kill one of the people who was mored b’malchus against his father, the city where he was hiding was threatened to be razed if they didn’t turn him over. This included the women and children. Ultimately it was Serach bas Asher, who was the city’s leader that had him handed over.

    They are obviously very nervous and are trying to look like they don’t want to antagonize the Iranian authorities at this time. Who knows if this statement should be taken seriously.

    and what about not in time of war, at that time its ok to kill women and children, like on 9/11.?
