Washington – Due to a new study, doctors are more likely to use anesthesia for newborn circumcisions than they were eight years ago.
At one time, doctors believed that infants were too young to experience the pain of circumcision or did not remember it, but more recent medical research has shown that babies are no different than adults in this regard, said Dr. Daniel Yawman, lead author of the anesthesia study.

About 1 million newborns are circumcised in U.S. hospitals every year, making it the country’s most common operation.
Hey I wish they did that for me. It still hurts!!
Dont think there isnt more to it than just a “reccomendation.” These “reccomendations” are what fuels the laws.
Something like this could be taken all the way to the Supreme Court by some self hating yid. The judges who rule from the bench such as Ruth Bader Ginzburg and her lib cronies up there will do something stupid like make laws that infringe on religious laws.
What it seems to me, is that it’s only a recommendation, & Doctors are likely to follow it, but it’s not something that’s going to change things we’re doing!
I had 8 boys and none of them seemed to be any worse for the “pain” of a bris. Brissim have been done without anesthesia since Avrohom Ovinu, and I think doctors and others should stop messing with our traditions.
You just compared schechting a cow to cutting your son. Who’s the stupid one?
I was so traumatized by my bris that i couldnt walk or talk for almost a year thereafter!
This is about as stupid as the PETA people yemach sh’mom being concerned about the cows “feeling” the pain. Do any of the babies remember this pain? How many of them rememeber their bris as the time some guy came at them with a knife???
