    NJ +Transit, Amtrak Service Suspended+ New Jersey Transit has some of its services suspended between New York’s Penn Station and Secaucus while Amtrak Police investigate what they say is a suspicious item on the tracks just east of Secaucus Junction.

    NEW YORK (Reuters) – Trains services between New York and New Jersey were restored after the discovery of a substance leak near the entrance to the Hudson River Tunnel was found to be harmless, Amtrak said.

    “An investigation determined that a drum of hydraulic oil had fallen off a work train nearby tracks on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River Tunnel,” Amtrak said in a statement.
