As per Amtrak, the police activity has been resolved and train service will be resuming momentarily.
NEW YORK (Reuters) – Trains services between New York and New Jersey were restored after the discovery of a substance leak near the entrance to the Hudson River Tunnel was found to be harmless, Amtrak said.
“An investigation determined that a drum of hydraulic oil had fallen off a work train nearby tracks on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River Tunnel,” Amtrak said in a statement.
