In a chain collision at Lehavim Junction in the Negev, two people were killed. At least 13 others were injured, including one person who was listed in serious condition and another who was reported moderately injured.

A trailer truck traveling from the direction of Arad rear-ended one of two school buses carrying local pupils going on a field trip. The truck then veered into the opposite lane, crashing into an oncoming car. The car was crushed, and both passengers inside were injured.

Simultaneously, the school bus rammed into the bus in front of it, bringing both to a sudden stop. Several passing cars crashed into both buses and the trailer truck, and a van was pushed into oncoming traffic and flipped over.

Police reported that the children were all wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, which limited their injuries to minor ones. All the victims were evacuated to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.

    To neshama:

Yes it’s always one of the main focus’s of an investigation if there is an accident in east Jerusalem or the West bank or if one of the people involved is from the Palestinian controlled territories.

    Are all the drivers Jewish?
Sometimes I think some of the arab drivers deliberately cause accidents on the highways and streets of Israel, using their car as a weapon against Jews. I may be wrong, but is this ever considered in some of these accidents?

There is enforcement which pretty good around the bigger city’s and settlements. but in the south, Arad and it’s lot less because of the distance between the settlements and there is a lot less traffic out there (it’s in the Judah desert).

    Hashem yerachem.
This does look like an accident, but it seem to me that there are way too many serious accidents in Israel’s highways causing death and destruction.
Is there no speed limit enforced?
