England – New statistics results just released rank seven Jewish schools in the top five percent in England, and amongst the best in their individual boroughs, for gaining grades A* to C in both English and Maths and for developing pupils under a new Contextual Value Added system.

It bucks a national trend where around 500 schools were criticized for failing to record passes in the 'gold standard' subjects.
The tables, compiled by the Department for Education and Skills, generate new data by looking at students who gain 5 GCSEs including English and Maths as well as a Contextual Value Added system which analyses how a school treats individual pupil's circumstances such as special needs, gender, mobility and levels of deprivation.
