Monroe, NY – Village to Hire Parking Enforcement Officers

    Monroe, NY – The Village of Monroe board announced the creation of two part-time officers to enforce parking regulations. Trustee Peter Scrobe said this will provide the opportunity in the future to write tickets while not using regular police officers.

    The parking enforcement officer positions will be paid $15 per hour and report to the police department.

    Monroe Village is a village
    They are both in the town of Monroe (a totally separate legal entity from the Village on Monroe), in Orange County.
    A village cannot be in another village
