Carlstadt, NJ – A sanitation garbage truck fire on the New Jersey Turnpike spread to the brush on the side of the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike at MM 114, creating an inferno that backed up traffic just south of the Vince Lombardi Service Area.
Multiple mutual aid units are operating, heavy smoke is visible for miles with multiple departments receiving calls for a heavy smoke condition in the area.
