Monsey, NY – Several families living at 5 Phyllis Terrace along the Monsey / Kaser border awoke to the sound of a loud crash at approximately 1:30 this morning.
The quiet of the neighborhood was broken as a 2005 Jeep Liberty ran off the road, through a fence and into decking support posts. The force of the impact caused the home’s deck to collapse.

Twenty year-old Shlomo Garfinkel of Brooklyn, and his thirteen year-old front passenger escaped the accident unharmed. All the home’s occupants were evacuated as a safety precaution until Ramapo’s Building Inspector deemed the dwelling safe to reoccupy. Garfinkel was issued a traffic summons for speeding. [wrcr]
