Brooklyn, NY – Disgraced former state Supreme Court Judge Gerald Garson surrenders to Brooklyn authorities this morning to serve between three and ten years in prison.

In April, Garson was convicted for taking bribes from a crooked lawyer in exchange for fixing a divorce case and awarding lucrative appointments.
The mother of that divorce case lives in the tightly knit Brooklyn Sephardic Jewish community and fears her children will suffer if I reveal her name.
She remembers her awful meeting with Judge Gerald Garson in Court Room about Her Divorce Case. Upon laying eyes on this woman, he spouted disdainfully. Two words. “You’re Syrian!” He told her she’d better settle her divorce out of court. “I knew I was dealing with a mental case,” she said. “He has so much anger against women, particularly Sephardic women.” She said Garson had a Syrian ex-wife.
The 74-year-old Garson will serve three to ten years behind bars. The former judge suffers from cancer and has said he fears he could die from a heart attack or stroke if forced to undergo alcohol detoxification in prison.
The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office said the state prison system is equipped with detox facilities. [wabc- vin]
We are, of course, expected to believe that Garson is the last one and that he is an aberration in the otherwise solid, straight, moral and incorruptable Brooklyn judiciary.
Just as Victor Barron was the last one and that Barron was an aberration in the otherwise solid, straight, moral and incorruptable Brooklyn judiciary.

If you have to get a divorce don’t hire a lawyer that knows the law but one that knows the judge!
Let him ROT in jail so he has enough time to think over the anguish he caused for so many people, GOOD FOR YOU GARSON BURN IN JAIL HELL.
there were many frum people affected by this judge & the crooked lawyer. this judge was deciding divorce & child custody issues for very small bribes. A big bribe one can understand the temptation, obviously not justifiable, but understandable. This judge was such a bum, he could care less about nobody, he would decide people’s lifes for a meal, bottle of scotch, or a few cigars. what a disgrace!
The Bum lawyer along with another middleman we’re extorting signifacant amounts of cash from families telling them they had no chance otherwise. many people including some i know personally suffered tremendously from this.
GOOD FOR YOU CROOKED JUDGE EVEN IF YOU WONT DIE IN PRISON, AT LEAST YOUR CANCER STRUGGLE SHOULD GET WORSE AND WORSE AND YOU SHOULD SUFFER TROUGH ALL THE TEN YEARS WITH CANCER AND UNDERSTAND THOSE WHO’M YOU PLACED UNDER BARS AND FACE THEM ON A DAILY BASIS.
