Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY – Maintenance and Repair For Williamsburg Bridge Footwalk.

Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY – The NYC Department of Transportation is conducting major long-term maintenance and repair work on the Williamsburg Bridge. The following is an advisory regarding the north and south footwalks.

Footwalk Notification In order to facilitate ongoing rehabilitation, the south footwalk of the Williamsburg Bridge is currently closed. The north footwalk is open
and the south footwalk will re-open, for weekends only, beginning Friday July 13, 2007. On weekends, the footwalk will open on Fridays at 3:30pm and will close on Mondays at 6:00 am. During the weekend openings pedestrians and cyclists may enter the south footwalk at its entrance on Bedford Avenue.
