Borough Park, Brooklyn, NY +Possible Abduction+ NYPD of the 66th Pct has called a level one mobilization for a possible abduction of a child that was missing earlier tonight and claims she has been abducted.
The 4-year-old child went missing from 19th Avenue and 52nd street earlier tonight. The child was found by an old lady who leaves on 61st Street between 15th and 16th Avenues.
She claims that a white male with a white shirt with a black design across the front took her into a black car, abused her, and when she start crying he threw her out of the car.
NYPD detectives of the 66th Pct are taking it very seriously, and are investigating it as a sexual abduction of a child.
The child is now safe and back at home.

NYPD Detectives of the 66th Pct, Captains, Inspectors, along with Chiefs and the Special Victims Squad, as well as Boro Park Shomrim Patrol, worked feverishly throughout the night.
Active crime scene still ongoing at 52nd Street and 19th Avenue. Evidence was collected all night, including some tapes from private security video cameras on the street, which might have captured some evidence of the incident.
PD are calling in reinforcement of detectives, Crime Stoppers and Community Affairs, and will also increase patrol on the streets.

Assemblyman Dov Hikind is calling on witnesses to contact the 66th Precinct with any information regarding the abduction. “There is great concern in the community,” said Hikind. “We are urging parents and caregivers to be especially alert and vigilant. There are sick predators out there who may be watching our children and waiting for the opportunity when they are unattended.”
what theyre ending it all?! i guess they reaaly are concerned about their privacy. wow. that means theyre not going to keep looking for him? is that allowed?
any update in leads for this sick abductor since I heard that the parents do not want to press charges, we need to find this guy and show others what happens when we commit a crime and not let it be swept under the carpet!
I believe that the main problem is greatly overlooked. That children in Boro Park are parked near the houses instead of in the parks. There is a great need for playgrounds in this area and public pressure should be placed on the government using such situation as proof. The possibility exists in Boro Park. A severe change in planning of houses and community should arise. This idea would take care of the other problems mentioned.
It is true that NOONE has the right to judge & blame parents especially when we warent there at the time, but at the same time we shall all believe that everything we live is a simple lesson for us, Hashem is just sending us an awareness “BE ON ALERT” watch your children.
People blame the parents because they needto believe it couldn’t happen to them. If they can find some “flaw” in the the family or some “mistake” made by the parents, they believe, on some subconscious level, they’ve figured out why this wouldn’t happen to their child/their family.

your’e comment hit it on the nail.
When all of the judgemental nincompoops blame the parent, are they saying that if it would Chas V’Shalom happen to them it would also be their fault.
How cruel can anyone be to suggest that the mother should be sent to jail.
Anyone who thinks that way is a very hateful and angry person and needs to get some serious help.
Kind of like the pervert who did this crime. Don’t you think?

Throw the mother in jail for 30 days.
Guaranteed that after that sentence, she will no longer disrespect her 4 year old.
She is the sole guilty party in this.
YOU MEAN THE SICK PERVERT WHO CMMITTED THE CRIME IS BLAMELESS? WHAT NEXT, THE OLD BS ABOUT THE GIRL CAUSING IT BY DRESSING TOO PROVACITIVLY???
To all those who have a tendency to blame the victim…..may you get a taste of the horror the victims are suffering from, and then we’d like to hear from you again.
All you guys blaming the mother for what happened (as well as the attempted rape in Williamsburg blaming the woman) are a bunch of hyprocrates. IT IS THE PERPTRATER FAULT PERIOD and not the victim. All that is needed is for the parent to look away for 2 seconds. How many times have we heard stories in the news that kids were abducted right in front of an adult and nobody saw anything or was able do anything? It is simply outrages to blame the victim, in this case the mother. If it would have happened to your child you wouldn’t think that it is your fault at all. Yes, we need to be careful and make sure that the kids are watched over properly at all times but we also need great Siyata Dishmaya every second of life. And instead of blaming the mother we need to support the family and child who are going through this.
No jail or further punishment is necessary – just what she has gone through is enough to punish her for life! I am 100% sure the mother has learned her lesson from this experience and will never, ever leave her children – whatever the age outside alone again! And that is definitely the only purpose of punishment – to teach the lesson.

In Miami we have had a lot of crimes committed against Jews by Gentile men dressed frum. They work for Yidden and they learn to talk the talk and walk the walk.
It is important to teach our children not to talk to strangers, no matter how they look,to run and get an adult if a stranger tries to talk to you, to touch you or if you see a stranger watching you play.
My parents taught us this 40 years ago. There were always sick-os who preyed upon the frum community either out of revenge because they were anti Semites, for some perceived wrong done to them by the “Jews”.
There have been a number of incidents of Mexican handymen and other workers against young frum girls in Monsey and Lakewood. We have to teach our children to protect themselves and we have to protect our children.
We should protest frum businesses who hire illegal aliens to save money, it endangers our children. We should protest when our neighbors hire undocumented maids, caretakers and handymen, as these are criminals by definition and they associate with other criminals.
Our community needs to be more vigilante if we want to protect our children
THIS IS A REAL WAKEUP CALL FOR MOTHERS NOT TO LEAVE THEIR KIDS PLAYING OUTSIDE WITH RELYING ON HASHEM WATCHING THEM!!!!!!!!!
DONT LEAVE YOUR BABY IN THE CARRIAGE IN FRONT THE STORE IT’S CHILD ABUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
9:22
Obviously the weather has done a job on you today.
This poor, innocent BABY was a victim of a brutal crime by some sick creep. How DARE you blame these particular parents?? Do you even know them? I do. This is not a family with 15 children, nor is it a family where the children are neglected. These are concerned, loving, doting parents. HOW DARE YOU!!! Yes, there are SOME parents who are not tuned in to their parenting needs, but that is not the issue here and you should ask forgiveness for your horrible words and attitude. May you never be in their shoes! NOw go take some valium and go back to sleep.

don’t blame bloomy on this one.
don’t blame NYPD on this one.
BLAME yourself.
THe parents of this child have only themselves to blame.
As Hikind said, why and where are the parents not paying attention to their kids.
I see it play itself out in the bungalow colony all the time.
these young moms let their kids roam out of their sight the entire day and the high chutzpah of this all is that these young crazy stressed out inexperienced moms expect the other parents in the bungalo colony to look after their kids while they engage in their own activities.
Let this be a wake up call to these young inexperienced mothers out there. Get serious about parenting. We are talking about teire neshomos here.

ONE DOES NOT LOOK UNDER THE BED UNLESS HE TOO WAS ONCE HIDING THERE!!! IS THAT WHAT YOU DO IN THE BUNGOLOW?? ANYHOW HOW DOES THE ABDUCTOION COME TO THE BUNGALOW??
“Maybe the community should reconsider letting the women go up to the mountains leaving thier husbands behind. It would prevent a lot of these type of problems which occurs every summer. “
WHAT KIND OF RIDICULOUS STATEMENT IS THIS?/ WAS THE MOTHER UPSTATE – AND LEFT THE FATHER TO BABYSIT??
1) It’s very possible he was wearing a light colored shirt (it was night and a little kid can’t see the diffirence between light blue etc.)
2) It can be that a sick criminal tried to dress like a heimishe guy (so that she would see someone that’s dressed similar to her daddy)

NY SUN.
In a crime emblematic of every parent’s worst fear, a stranger plucked a 4-year-old girl from in front of her home on a quiet residential Boro Park street Monday evening as she played near other children, and then sexually assaulted her.
She was found two hours later, wandering alone, after a crowd of panicked neighbors had canvassed the area.
The assault has roiled the tight-knit Brooklyn neighborhood, which has a large chasidic population, following a series of similar incidents last year.
“The community is up in arms,” a coordinator of the neighborhood watch group Boro Park Shomrim Patrol, Yanky Daskal, said. “People are scared.”
Neighborhood parents yesterday said they were on guard even as police flooded the neighborhood in search of the suspect, who is at large.
Sima Winkler, who lives on 52nd Street near the victim’s home, is the mother of six girls. She said the street had been full of children playing when the girl was abducted.
“Nobody saw anything. She disappeared,” Ms. Winkler said.
“We’re shocked,” she said. “We thought we were more safe.”
She added: “Even the kids, they have nightmares now. They’re afraid of going out.”
Another neighbor said the whole block had joined in the search for the girl after she went missing.
According to police, the girl was forced into a vehicle at about 7:15 p.m. by a man who took her to an unknown location, exposed himself, and forcibly touched her.
She was found about two hours later, wandering alone nearly 10 blocks away. Police said a resident called 911 after noticing the victim walking along a sidewalk.
The girl was then taken to a nearby hospital.
Police said they were searching for a suspect described as a Caucasian man in a black T-shirt driving a black vehicle.
Assemblyman Dov Hikind, a Democrat of Brooklyn, said yesterday that the girl was found without her underwear, which was later found at a different location.
“Whoever did this did not just take her for a ride,” he said, “”This guy is sick.”
At a press conference in his district office, Mr. Hikind urged anyone with information about the abduction to come forward and contact police. He also called on parents to be alert.
“We can pass all the laws in the world,” he said. “It won’t make any difference if you don’t protect your children.”
“This never would have happened if there had been an adult outside,” he added. He asked anyone who has information about the crime, or may have seen something suspicious, to contact the 66th Precinct.
Mr. Daskal described the atmosphere in the area yesterday as “very tense, nerve wracking.”
Throughout the day, a dozen uniformed police officers posted in the area spoke with residents, and a police trailer and numerous patrol cars were stationed nearby.
Some mothers pushed strollers through the once sleepy neighborhood, but even with the increased police presence, few children could be seen playing outside.
The assault followed a string of similar incidents last year. According to Mr. Hikind’s office, there were five attempted abductions of girls of various ages in Boro Park in April and May of last year.
An NYPD spokesman, Deputy Police Commissioner Paul Browne, said police had arrested a man last year who was accused of exposing himself to several girls. The man was imprisoned, but Mr. Browne said that following standard procedure, police would investigate whether Monday’s abduction was related to prior cases.
“It’s someone we would check on again,” Mr. Browne said.
He said the police had questioned the victim twice as of yesterday and were talking to witnesses.
Mr. Daskal said he believes the community was especially devastated by the string of assaults because of the conservative sexual mores of the chasidic community.
“Children don’t know anything about it, only when they get married,” he said. “When a thing like this happens in a chasidic community, it can blow the parents’ minds away.”
He said the Shomrim Patrol, whose volunteer members operate under the auspices of the NYPD and respond to reports of suspicious activity, was assisting the police in the search for the suspect.
“Everybody should know it can happen in their neighborhood,” he said. “It can happen to anybody

Does anyone read before they jump to conclusions?? The article said that she described the man as white, wearing a WHITE SHIRT WITH BLACK DESIGN ACROSS THE FRONT. Read before jumping to conclusions and making ridiculious statements about the need for bungalow colonies to be “asur”. If people are going to do things against halacha they will do it wherever they are – upstate or right at home!!
I SAW THE TELEVISION CREWS TODAY THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN OFENT SO WHEN EVER SOMETHING HAPPENS THEY HAVE TO GET IN TO THE STORY
The girl looked at a lot of photos today. And PD is interviewing some sex offenders that were recently released.
The Technical Assistance Response Unit (TARU) provides investigative technical equipment and tactical support to all bureaus within the department, in addition they also provide assistance to other City, State and Federal agencies.
Anon said: They are taking this ver very serious. They also have TARU here going through the cameras.
What is a TARU?
Finaly the 66th Pct cares for our community as well.
Aprox 70 additional police officers were brought in to the 66th pct. They are setting up check points.
The inspector of the pct was on training they cut it short and send him back to the pct to oversee the operation.
They are taking this ver very serious. They also have TARU here going through the cameras.
it should be a religous obligation to install cameras everywere are we waiting for more damage to be done c.v. let’s focus on the victim and this should not be a hush hush under the rug story no blaming anybody and let’s help the official’s together we will make a differrnce.
so from reading these blogs and many others were justice is a topic that feeds the blogs, I came to the conclusion that the rebono shel olam gave us a gift to fight crime and to instill justice in our community’s and it’s called the camera, if D.N.A. is called the finger of god than the camera should be called the hand of god.
STOP making excuses for other Jews who commit crimes! I have seen this over and over again on VON and am personally sickened by it! Every time somebody is a crime victim, some of you are so quick to blame “the colony” or “the way she was dressed” … etc…. stop blaming the victim and understand that there are some “frum” people out there who are not religious at all. Hypocrites!
The problem is that the police leave it up for shomrim. To patrol the streets, so they could show for their bosses they made some cuts
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Residents are on edge in Boro Park, Brooklyn today after local leaders said a 4-year-old girl was abducted and sexually assaulted there Monday night.
The girl was taken into a vehicle by an unknown suspect at 52nd Street between 19th and 20th Avenues. The suspect took the child to an unknown location where he exposed himself and forcibly touched the victim, police said.
She was found nearly two hours later by an area resident and was taken to the hospital.

No one is being accused. The subject youraised was whether or not the girl’s story seems to be true, you wrote that it seems strange so if anyone is accusing anyone right now it is you accusing a five year old girl of making up a story.
To 12:04
Did I say I don’t believe the story? I said something seems strange with the story. Lets wait until the whole story comes out before we accuse.
I hear not that police have some leads and it was all caught on tape

The article states:
“She claims that a white male with a white shirt took her into a black car, abused her, and when she start crying he threw her out of the car”
So a 5 year old kid did not start crying when he took her to the car? Only after she was abused she started to cry? Something sounds strange with this whole story.
And to all those folks who assume that a white shirt means someone from the community, shame on you. White shirts are worn throughout the world, not just Brooklyn.
July 17, 2007 11:53 AM
You think that seems strange???!!!
People who try to find any dumb reason in the world not to believe a child who claims to have been abused seem really strange to me.

why is it that people are so quick to post stupid comments? Do you not get enough attention at home because your family has told you to stop shooting off your mouth with stupidity and they just tell you to shut up?
No one asked for your thoughts on the reason the child was abducted, everyone simply wants more details of what happened!
It is not the Bungalow, or the car he drives, or the neighborhood he grew up in. When he is caught you will get those details. In the meantime “If you have nothing to say, Don’t say it”.
Would anyone here know about some news conference going on right now about this?

How can there be giluy aryos if the men are in the city???
And what the hell does this have to do with a child molestor loose in Brooklyn???
Might be heat stroke.
I think we should sweep it under the rug. It worked for Kolko
11:03 – I think it may be the effect of City heat on the brain.

What happened was that she was playing in front of her house with a block full of children and parents watching. After an hour of playing someone realized they don’t see her.
It was originally thought she may have wandered off.
To the poster about the country, it is obvious that the city polluted air has hampered your ability to think clearly.
Child predators are found in many communities, and they are a danger to all. Anyone who blames the parents or child, is in need of some serious self review.
As a community we should all come together in support of the family and child who are going through an untold hardship. Let’s all be vigilant, and report anything suspicious. History shows, such predators will strike again.

10:31 makes an excellent point. The country is the cause of a lot problems. Children love the free space and learn to roam without general supervision. This is great for their development in a secure enviroment, but upon return to the city they assume that this freedom should continue. As a result, tragedies, like the one that was b’h just averted, results.
