“The Acting Superintendent of the State Police (Preston Felton), the Governor’s liaison (Bill Howard) and the Governor’s Communications Director (Darren Dopp), should be evaluated in light of the findings contained in this report and appropriate disciplinary action should be considered,” the report states.”
Excerpts e-mails in the report demonstrate that the TU’s FOIL request was used as cover for an effort to make Bruno look bad.

Spitzer will be discussing this report at a hastily-called Red Room press conference.

Bruno, who comes out of this report smelling like a rose, issued a statement thanking Cuomo for conducting a “thorough and comprehensive investigation” and said he is “gratified” by its findings.

” The Attorney General’s report reflects a professional and independent investigation of the facts and I am gratified by its conclusions,” Bruno said. “The people of this State should be proud that we have an Attorney General who can conduct a fair and thorough investigation in such an expedited fashion.
The Attorney General’s report confirmed what I have said all along, that my use of the State helicopter was completely appropriate and within all the existing rules and guidelines for its use.

We will thoroughly review the report’s disturbing conclusions regarding the activities of the Governor’s staff and the Acting Superintendent of the State Police before commenting any further.” [dailynewsblog]
