The meeting is one of only two such hearings ok'd by the agency in all of the five states affected by the propposed flight pattern. The meeting will be held on Mon July 30 at the Joseph P St Lawerence sports center at 6:30 pm doors will open at 6 o'clock.
Having flown into EWR more times than I would care to admit to, this is nuts. Flights landing in EWR are still high enough over Rockland County that it wouldnt make a diff. Currently most flights from the west will make the right turn over the GS Mall in Bergen County NJ (near Forlawn) to pick up the localizer when landing to the south. At that point we are still quite high up, you look up and say, “oh yeah its a plane” but its no big deal.
