Albany, NY – Former Gov. Mario Cuomo yesterday said the scandal engulfing Gov. Spitzer won’t end until the governor testifies under oath about what happened.

“The thing will be virtually over when and if the governor is given a chance to speak under oath and he speaks under oath and just repeats what he’s already said,”

Cuomo, the father of Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, whose office last week found that Spitzer’s aides improperly used State Police in a bid to disgrace Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, expressed surprise over the scandal enveloping the freshman governor. [nypost]
