Sullivan County, NY – Grant for Camp and Colony for Beautification Improvements

Sullivan County, NY – Sullivan Renaissance announced that a camp in Fallsburg and a bungalow colony in Monticello will each receive a $2500 matching grant for beautification improvements.

Improvements at Camp Viznitz, located on Old Falls Road near the hamlet of Fallsburg, will include restoration of a stone wall and landscaping of the property.
Town of Fallsburg Code Enforcement Officer Allen Frishman, who helped make the project possible, said, “This is one of those camps where the buildings and property have been improved behind the fence. We want the roadside area to have an appealing look also. Because of the site’s visibility, we approached them with the stone wall project and they were willing to participate. Next year they have agreed to work on their sign.”

The second project involves landscaping, replacing an entry gate and installing a new sign at Mishkinos Bobov on Kaufman Road in Monticello. Mendel Lerner, project manager has been supervising the construction of dozens of new units on the property. Work on the entry gate and landscaping will begin in August. [Mid-Hudson News]
