Practically everybody, according to City Councilmember Michael Nelson, who pushed the city’s longstanding $500 reward for information about graffiti vandals.
The city offers the reward for witnesses who call 911 with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of a graffiti vandal.
Nelson announced the reward offer as he and members of the Flatbush Shomrim Safety Patrol, the NYPD and other concerned neighborhood groups helped paint over tags at the corner of Ocean Avenue and Avenue M.
During the Monday clean-up, Nelson obtained the services of the graffiti removal specialists CitySolve. The group easily tears through graffiti tags with high-power paint spraying and power washing equipment. The clean-up at the corner of Ocean Avenue and Avenue M was done with funding allocated in the city budget.[Courier-Life]
