    Ambulance corps reports child hit by car in Monsey

    MONSEY – A child reportedly was hit by a car this afternoon at Route 306 at Calvert Drive, Ramapo police said.

    Chevra Hatzolah Ambulance Corps reported taking a child with unknown injuries to a hospital just before 3:47 p.m., police said.

    The ambulance corps first called for a medical helicopter to take a pedestrian with serious injuries to Westchester Medical Center.

    For an unknown reason, the STAT Flight was called off and Hatzolah took the injured person by ambulance.

    No other details were available as of 4:21 p.m.

    The Palisades does not go to Westchester, the NY Thruway does, via the Tappan Zee.

    they went by ground because the palisades was clare
