Belmar, NJ – Borough officials have met with the rabbi and students at an Orthodox Jewish boarding school to discuss the attitudes of some residents in the neighborhood who think the institution is both dirty and noisy.

Last spring, Victoria Renner, a Republican candidate for Borough Council this November, made the accusation against the Mesivta Keser Torah School on 11th Avenue during a public meeting of the governing body.
Renner’s claims that trash left outside the houses that serve as dormitories in the residential neighborhood was piling up, attracting rats, led to a door-to-door investigation by Councilman Matthew J. Doherty, a Democrat.
Doherty later said he determined that there was no evidence of rodents, but agreed to meet with school officials to discuss how students could be more sensitive to the concerns of neighbors in the area.
The students have accused some residents of being anti-Semitic, pointing out that similar problems across town at St. Rose High School are not turned into such a public issue.[app]
I use to live in the ch area, and the same was there the shwartez use to accuse us of bringing rat’s to the area, and guess who hired the exterminators yes we the jewish poeple and the shwartez din’t spare a dime for the mess which was thousands of dollars, and after we got rid of all the rodent they kept coming back thank to the shwartez and some hispanics who kept on leaving their beer bottles on the ground, so we used another tactic to rid of the rat’s we hiked the real estate, and you know what no beer bottles no rat’s.
