    2

Manhattan, NY – Police are reporting that some 22 swastikas were found scrawled throughout a high school in Lower Manhattan, on the second and third floors, also in the basement — scrawled in green chalk. The NYPD Hate Crimes task force seems to be handling case after case recently. This time it happened at Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers.
Police say they were found by a librarian and school secretary. They instantly called 9-1-1.

The school is for business careers and it’s located right next to One Police Plaza. They handle students from grades 9 through 12.

This is just the latest in a series of hate crimes throughout the city. So far, it does not appear that they are related in any way. Police have made no arrests. [wabc]

Yes, Green chalk is the “official” chalk of antisemitism and the city will issue fines if swastikas are drawn in any other color
