Police now say that the two devices appear “similar” to those thrown at the British Consulate in May 2005. Law enforcement officials are investigating the possibility that the 2005 incident is related to today’s incident.
A State Department official said the building was evacuated due to “a broken window.” The Consulate General was not at the building at the time of the incident.
