Monsey, NY – Carbon Monoxide Sends Family to Hospital

Rockland County, Monsey, NY – It was a close call for a Monsey family who yesterday narrowly escaped fatal carbon monoxide poisoning.

Ramapo Police Department responded to the Dolson Road home last night to find the family suffering from dizziness and nausea. Their carbon monoxide detector was sounding and O&R was called to the scene, readings taken by Monsey firefighters as well as workers from Orange and Rockland Utilities showed the presence of carbon monoxide, they found the culprit to be a faulty boiler.

Five family members were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by Spring Hill ambulance and Hatzolah emergency services assisted, they were treated and released. [am1300 – Vin]
