David Lebron, 38, of the Bronx, worked for the Spring Valley Police Department since 1998, Police Chief Paul Modica said.
The charges include falsifying business records, offering a false report for filing and two counts of official misconduct, the chief said.

Chief Modica said the arrest was the result of an internal investigation that lasted several months.
The results of the investigation were reported to a grand jury, which indicted Lebron. Modica said the "the activities happened while he was working as a police officer." [wnbc]
