Jerusalem, Israel – Child Crushed by Automatic Gate

Jerusalem, Israel – Menachem Sharabi, a five-year-old haredi boy was squashed by an electric gate in front of an apartment building in Jerusalem's Givat Shaul neighborhood.

A woman had pressed the remote control to open the gate, not noticing that he was playing on it. When she notice she tried to press it again to move it in the opposite direction, but it didn't respond.

He was rushed to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem, where he was found to be suffering from severe internal injuries and was in a coma until he died of his wounds. [Jpost]
