Borough Park, NY – Buying costumes can become a financial burden – especially for those parents who have large families. This year, “Guardians of the Sick” a.k.a “Bikur Cholim” of Boro Park is hosting a Costume Bazaar with a full array of costumes, in all sizes, all at the nominal cost of only $10 (average retail cost: $30). Bikur Cholim is absorbing all publicity and handling costs.

Bikur Cholim, well-known for its philanthropic and charitable activities, has been serving the community for 55 years. It is recognized for its programs for the needy, sick, extensive volunteer services, crisis intervention programs, teens-at-risk centers, and is renowned for its successful blood drives.
A wonderful opportunity presented itself when an inventory overstock of beautiful, brand-new costumes became available. Bikur Cholim was thrilled to be able to, once again, help the community by hosting a fabulous costume sale. The event is open to the public and costumes will be sold on a first come first serve basis.
Rabbi Steinharter, Executive Director of Bikur Cholim, smiled as he said, “Bikur Cholim is going beyond the scope of its usual agenda with this costume sale. For once, we are serving the community upon a happy occasion – it’s not an emergency nor an urgent situation – it’s the joy of Purim!”
In order to direct this campaign to the most needy families, Bikur Cholim did not publicize or advertise information about this costume event until the last few days before the holiday, so that those who could afford it, would patronize local merchants who rely on the business at this time of year. However, if you still did not make your purchases, Bikur Cholim cordially invites you to grab a bargain!
