New York – A virtual doubling of prices at the gas pump to as much as $10 a gallon.

That’s the message from a couple of analytical energy industry trackers, both of whom, based on the surging oil prices, see considerably more pain at the pump than most drivers realize.
The forecasts calling for a jump to between $7 and $10 a gallon are based on the view that the price of crude is on its way to $200 in two to three years.
Translating this price into dollars and cents at the gas pump, one of our forecasters, the chairman of Houston-based Dune Energy, Alan Gaines, sees gas rising to $7–$8 a gallon. The other, a commodities tracker at Weiss Research in Jupiter, Fla., Sean Brodrick, projects a range of $8 to $10 a gallon.
While $7–$10 a gallon would be ground-breaking in America, these prices would not be trendsetting internationally. For example, European drivers are already shelling out $9 a gallon (which includes a $2-a-gallon tax). [nysun]

Where can we start purchasing horses?
Why should it only be on Purim that you see a horse on 13th Ave?

Sounds like the joke I heard during the first oil crises (yes, there are people who were driving in ’73 who still see well enough to type) – If the costs of driving cars keeps going up we will soon be back to a STABLE economy!
no one here said a word about simcha felder. what does he have to do with state gas prices? who are you anyway? his spokesman?
SIMCHA FELDERS OFFICE IS AWARE OF THE SITUATION BUT SAID THERE IS NOT MUCH THAT HE CAN DO!!
Why are people blaming Simcha Felder for oil prices now?
It seems that people love to blame Simcha for all their problems.
If the prices would go to 10.00 a gallon let it start at the end of August so the people that go up to the mountains can stay there.

You can kiss the airline industry goodbye. Nobody will pay 600.00 for a trip to Florida.
Lets hope Mccain will start pumping oil in alaska, what a dream!
i dont believe Americans have the patience for that. either they will revolt or someone will come up with a new cheap renewable fuel asap.
the french government fell because of bread..

Gas= $4
Figi water= $12 gallon
Starbucks expresso= $80 gallon

They are only brokers or resellers they don’t make more $$$ if the oil is expensive, they buy today & sell tomorrow, if the market jumps over night they make a few cense.
You could do the same you can buy the stocks from the big oil companies.
they will raise it to the top just in time for those who go to the catskills to pay through the noses.

100% RIGHT
There are yiden in the oil buisness!! Paragon oil, Home fuel oil, just to name 2.
I remember even older days when gas was .29 a gallon.
Oh, I remember those days when I used to pay 0.87¢ a gallon on the NJ 17… (probably like 8 years ago)
it’s too bad yidden never got into the oil business!
WHOEVER THAT WHAT EVER GOES UP MUST COME DOWN NEVER SAW THESE GAS PRICES….
i remember the old days when it was $1.00 for a gallon!!
go hybrid….
Everyone seems to forget that when comparing europe to the us there are lots of other differences.
Mainly they had these prices for years because everything there is more expensive including they get paid more at work because the whole value of money is more in europe then in the us. while over here the gas is going up but the pay is still the same.
In all these other countries they have free health insurance which most of us dont have so of course they pay more in taxes.
Don’t fret. Uncontrolled inflation is a sign of the impending yemai moshiach.
“I think we will all be driving a bicycle by then!”
Ya thats what I was thinking. Might as well buy a bike now before stores jack up the prices on bikes.
(You never know what store owners would do to make a extra buck)
I think we will all be driving a bicycle by then!
