Albany, NY – Smokers on college campuses in New York now must keep it outside when they want to smoke in or around their dorms.
The State Senate and Assembly both approved a smoking ban in all college dormitories, including private schools.
Sponsors say many private colleges offer the option of smoke-free dorms, but demand usually exceeds supply. Final approval of the bill must come from Governor Paterson.
does this apply to yeshivas as well??
It sounds like it should apply to yeshivahs.
I hope it does, I really think Daas Torah would pasken that such a rule is necesary even with no law.
i hope patterson will sign this bill….its about time, but then will the cops give out tickets…and then the parents will have to pay the fine…yup
