Woodridge, NY – Hatzolah EMS on the scene at Woodlake Village on Woodlake Road requesting multiple units to respond to assist in a search for a 91-year-old man with a grey jacket, a hat and colored shirt, missing alzheimers patent, the man who goes by the name Yankel (Jacob) Solomon, has last been scene at 7:30pm. Fire department and New York State Police are also responding.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of this person, please call Hatzolah ASAP at 718-230-1000.

As of this time no sign of the aided, the search will resume at 6:00am.

The man was found alive this morning.

This man was about to go to Shul in Woodlake but there was no Minyan. He may have walked out of Woodlake and been given a ride to another Shul/Colony. IF YOU SEE A MAN WALKING WHO FITS THE DISCRIPTION PLEASE CALL HATZOLAH IMMEDIATELY!

I was searching all night all shuls-upstairs & downstairs no sign continue saying tehilim!!

with the help of hashem he will be i”yh found.the hatzoloh in the catskills do a very good job like they found the kids of camp ger on tisha beov they will find him too.
Heard he was found in Giti Gardens in good shape. How did he get there and where he spent the night is still to be determined. BH all is well. What a scare.

I heard that last night a woman, on Glenwood Road, said that she saw this man looking for a ride to Brooklyn. He most probably went into the woods to take a nap till this morning. he looked and said that he is allright, but the Hatzoloh took him to the Hospital to be checked out, Chasdai hashem. (We needed some zechusim)

We should start realizing that just as we are protective of our small children in bunglaow colonies, so too should we be protective of our elderly parents who can be just as vulnerable to becoming lost.

i was there from the first responders, untill after the Chasdei Hashem REKUDAH The KIDUSH HASHEM was amazing !!!the local Police, Fire Dep. Sheriff, DES, Chanal 6 news, All where just could’nt belive how every one of KLAL YISROEL cares so much for the other!

It’s important that it be corrected that he is not a Alzheimer’s Patient, he is as they say in Yidish fefer sharf (peper sharp), I know him personally. I therefore cant understand why he didn’t call home.
