At least five of the dead were identified as foreign militants, an intelligence officer said.

The strike was the first on Pakistani territory since the inauguration of President Barrack Obama, but the latest in a barrage of more than 30 since the middle of last year.

If the new President was really strong on terrorism more would have been eliminated. Just seems more of the same weakness in the White House.

Ok, now I got his idea of closing down gitmo bay, he simply supports the idea of rather killing all them militant terrorists than giving them full cost and board in Guatanamo Bay for years..
This is probably also his plan to easen the financial burden off the shoulders of the US gov’t, a bit off live ammunition saves them millions..

#1 , where do you see weakness here? They found some bad guys, and took them out.
I am no big fan of Pres. Obama, but it’s only fair to give him a chance to prove himself. Gratuitous criticism like this is counterproductive and makes you look like a knee-jerk right wing nut.

don’t panic, he just pushed the wrong button. Next time he might end up destroying the world.
If you voted him in, you can take some of the blame.

the funny thing here is, out of all the candidates during the election on both sides – from very early on, it was OBAMA (who is now the president) who constantly refrreed to and brought up Pakistan as an issue. go figure

This has NOTHING to do with Obama, they have been fighting in Afganistan for the past 7 years. They are just continuing the war. Just because it has been out of the news for so long, doesn’t mean the troops are not fighting. It just so happens that now Obama is President. There is little he can do in the middle of a war.

Funny, if this was Israel laying missles on suspected terrorists the media would have said 9 of the 10 people killed were 5 and 6 year old kids and the 10th was a lady trying to protect them.

In the debates, it was Obama’s position that if the Pakistanis are unwilling or unable to to go after the terrorists within its borders, then the US Forces would go after them. McCain, on the other hand, said that pakistan is an ally so we shouldn’t invade their airspace. And he said Obama was “naive”.

Read the last line. It’s the first since the inaugaration, but there have been more than 30 since the middle of last year. IMHO, that means that Obama is just continuing something good that Bush was doing, but the media didn’t report it before. But NOW, we’re supposed to be SO PROUD of our gung-ho-tough-on-the-terrorists.
