Washington – President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.

“You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done,” he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.
One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.
“There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats,” the official said. “We shouldn’t let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done.”
That wasn’t Obama’s only jab at Republicans Friday.
While discussing the stimulus package with top lawmakers in the White House’s Roosevelt Room, President Obama shot down a critic with a simple message.
“I won,” he said, according to aides who were briefed on the meeting. “I will trump you on that.”
The response was to the objection by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) to the president’s proposal to increase benefits for low-income workers who don’t owe federal income taxes.

As loyal listener and 24/7 member of the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, Rush is a tremendous friend of Israel and a defender of liberty. Obama’s upset because most of the media refused to vett him. Tom Brokaw and Charlie Rose admitted they know very little about him. Hey Tom, you’re one of the most powerful people at NBC. You couldn’t find a reporter to fly to Chicago? But the media had plenty of time and resources to fly all the way to Alaska to dig up personal attacks on Sarah Palin. I did well in geography. It’s a lot closer to fly to Chicago from your NYC or DC newsrooms than it is to fly to Alaska.
The liberals in Congress will try to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine to silience conservative talk radio. Never mind they that talk radio is the one medium they do not dominate, the liberal talk stations have failed miserably in the ratings. This includes Air America, which took money from a charity (I believe it was in Harlem)to keep it afloat, and NPR that is funded mostly by the taxpayers. Talk radio is very lucrative to the stations that carry it.
Remember a lot of station owners, radio engineers, salespeople, program directors, station managers, call takers, etc. may not agree with the hosts. But the ratings is what drives radio, just like television. There are people who like collecting a check, having access to employer sponsored health insurance, a retirement, etc. – even though they may disagree with the views of the personality. Howard Stern was not like by many of the stations he was on. But money talks. He brought in huge amounts of money via advertising dollars, etc. You could actually kill a lot of middle class and small business jobs by trying to silence Limbaugh.
Senator Schumer comapred conservative talk radio to pornograpghy. Really, is that a fair comparison? Now I know the left sees talk radio as something evil because it’s delivered over the public airwaves. By that logic, we should have fairness in the print media too. After all, my neighbor’s NY Times (yemach shemam) is delivered over publicly owned roads. So if they push fairness on the radio, we deserve fairness in the press too. That means every time the NY Slimes slams Israel, an equal amount of time must be spenting slamming Hamas, Hezzbolah, etc. The same with Obama. He should be slammed exactly the same amount of times GWB was slammed during his first term.
After all it’s all about fairness and the utopia we are marching towards.

I am a big Rush Fan, even if you don’t agree with him, you must admit, he is though out and is very truthful with what he says. He is here for the people’s good unlike Obama.

His point was simply that it is easier to comment on the issues than being part of the solutions. These elected officials are in a position to legislate and take part in actions. Not just commenting like Rush does.

President Obama definitely picked the wrong person to fight with. Rush Limbaugh has an IQ at least five times the amount of President Obama, in addition to a lot more courage to say or do what he thinks is right. The funniest part of this is that you people take Rush seriouslly. He is an entertainer. A good one but just an entertainer who has figured out how to keep twenty million bobble-heads tunning in and turning off their own minds for a few hours every day.
If Obama was really ready to be President, he wouldn’t feel it was worth it to comment on Rush’s views. Since he did, that shows he is not above the fray, and he is just going to get involved in petty image issues as if he is still campaigning, instead of running this country to the best of his ability.

My father, A”H was a registered Democrat. I’ve not been very involved in politics.
However during a meal or two I listened to Mr. R. Limbaugh and found him to be a very intelligent and entertaining man.
Well rush definitely has some stupidity to himself.Take for instance after the inauguration he was busy that feinstein said “oaf” instead Of oath of office! i hope he has better things on his mind!

Rush has always said he doesnt take himself seriously. Anyone who really listens to the show and I mean like he says, you need to listen for about six STRAIGHT weeks before you “get it,” will tell you that you are getting politics along with humor and showmanship. If you dont like Rush, you either never listened (which means you are relying on someone else’s opinion) or you are a liberal but probably BOTH.
I drive a lot for a living so I have been listening for most of the last 20 years. Between Rush, Grant, Hannity, etc., I have learned to THINK more than anything else. I dont agree 1000% with Rush et all but I certainly understand where they are coming from even when I dont agree. Most leftists I deal with just spew forth the liberal doctrine but when I ask them to explain something, there is nobody home.
In the case of the President, he wants to use socialist ideas to get the economy moving again but the policies he wants to use are similar to FDRs which kept the US in ge’hakte tzuris for another 7 years until WW2 pulled us out of it. The economy has ALWAYS been something with ebbs and flows. Even Der Shlikmeister Pres Clinton had economic downturns including the one he left for Pres Bush in 2000. Generally the economy turns around in 2 years unless we mess with it more than need be.
If the Pres does away with Talkradio (which means anyone who doesnt agree with the liberal party so why not say RIGHT WING RADIO) that will be a VERY BAD thing for this country because there goes a major “right” (no pun intended!) that we have in the USA. The job of a liberal is to CREATE a NEED for govt. If the libs create a need for people to rely on govt for welfare and other handouts, they will continue to vote liberal no matter what. Rush Limbaugh is the best. He did a great interview with Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel. Vote Republican and Conservative, their values are similar to the Jewish values.
