Jerusalem – Police revealed a stunning conspiracy of silence involving the abuse of two children, ages four and nine, by a male relative. The investigation also revealed that the children’s parents, their rabbi and their neighbors were all aware of the abuse, but chose to keep quiet.

Senior police NCO Aliza Aroch, who is the lead investigator in the case, said that police were contacted by a social worker, who reported getting a call from a woman who claimed to have witnessed the man molest the nine-year-old while they were at a doctor’s waiting room.
The woman informed the doctor of what she saw and the two immediately contacted the social worker and the police. Both were deposed and the police promptly arrested the suspect.
The man, said Aroch, admitted the incident and assured the court it was a one-time digression. The Jerusalem District Court, however, ordered his arrest remanded for three days.
With the suspect in custody, the police began questioning the boy’s parents and discovered that their nine-year-old son was suffering from autism and that they had two other children – a four-year-old boy and a two-year-old toddler.
After ascertaining that the suspect was a relative, investigators were amazed to learn that not only did the mother know the man was abusing both her sons, she had witnessed the acts on several occasions and did nothing.
She also told the police that her nine-year-old son had been subjected to the suspect’s abuse since the age of two. The police suspect all three children also suffered physical abuse.
When asked why she did nothing, the mother reportedly told the investigators that she was “powerless.”
During the course of the investigation, the police also found that several neighbors witnessed the suspect molesting the children in public, but failed to report him.
The children’s father claimed that he consulted his rabbi, who told him that unless he witnesses the acts himself, reporting it would be like rendering a “Din Moser.”
Once the gravity of the situation became apparent, the court ordered all three children be removed from home. The Jerusalem District Court also remanded both parents for five days.
Seems like there is something seriously wrong with the parents to just accept this horror!

The parents should have all their children taken away. Hopefully the kids will be placed in loving heimishe homes.

How can anyone witness such horrible acts, and not react accordingly? These children’s lives are forever ruined. It’s as if this animal killed them, but worse. Shame on the community, and everyone else who knew what was happening. How can these people pray to God, dress modestly, keep kosher, and shabbos, and think that’s all they need to do, to be a Jew. They aren’t Jews in my eyes, much less human beings. The parents, their Rabbi, and anyone else who witnessed and/or new of these horrible acts should get life in prison. They should plaster this molesters face and name all over, to warn people and to shame him. He deserves far worse than any punishment they can ever come up with.

there needs to be some moving in the halachic world, a psak din or something to say that anyone who molests childrin should be put in cheirim and in jail, the full extent of the law used against them. i am sure ruining childrens lives is worse than being a moser.

this is just horrific………..i wonder what the rabbi will do if one or all of these children will go off the derech when they get older and horror of it all will hit them, these poor children……..i hope they will get the proper therapy and help even if there are no symptoms now

Yup, there is a large abuse problem out there. The question is, do we have enough common sense to prevent it, or will we keep covering up like naive idiots?
I am reading this horror, and my stomach is twisting,, the more people stayed quiet, the more the abusive monster saw he could do.. The article says he felt comfortable enough to do it in public,, his ultimate undoing. But I can assure you, that the first time he did it, was not in public.

Personally I don’t believe this story! although I believe that their are frum people that are molestors, but the way we are being told the story makes no sense!. 1)That he did it in public, and that neighbors saw him. I don;t beleive that normal people watch such a thing happen and would not do anything about it!. The name of the Rebbe should be publicized and he should be arrested for aiding and abetting. Then the other (so called) Rebbes wouldn’t be so quick to ignore such situations.
Plus, the fact that the eldest is autistic could well be a result of the molestation, I wouldn’t be surprised if he ‘recovers’ now that her is safe.
The problem is that parents do not understand the damage that abuse can cause.
The “Rabbi” , the parents, and anyone who witnessed, knew, or had valid reason to believe what was happening and did not report or do something about it, are almost as guilty as the molester himself; because had they intervened it would have stopped years ago, the kid would have got the help he needed, and the perv would be behind bars. What is wrong with these parents!!! They knew about it and didn’t do anything!!! What they felt worse for their relative who couldn’t control himself even in public!!! an what of the neighbours!!! I was a foster parent for a child who was beaten with a belt in the courtyard of a building with many frum people. Her screams were frequently heard from her apartment, while she was locked in a closet. The person who called it in was harassed and shunned by the other frum people in the neighborhood for breaking up the family. B”H, she got the help she needed (which was plenty)and was later raised by a kind relative and is now married and doing well. People don’t want to interfere, even though they need to at times.
As a social worker I would like to put my two cents into this. First of all rule number 1: Never judge untill you hear all sides of the story! There are always two sides to a story and you are just reading one side of it. which may be biased according to the person that wrote it.
2. We did not hear the Rabbi’s side of the story

We do not know for instance maybe the Parents of these children are mentally slow” or disfunctional parents, that would answer the question of why the mother did not report the abuse even though she knew it was happening. Time and again in my practice I have learned to be patient till all the facts came out and let me tell you NEVER EVER are things the way it seems!!
So Yiddeshe Kinder, PLEASE DONT RUSH TO MAKE JUDGEMENTS TILL YOU HEAR THE ENTIRE STORY………………………………and dont be so quick to judge!!

The fact that these parents asked a rabbi what to do shows how sick in the head the parents are.
Let me figure this out. if someone rapes your kid you go ask a rabbi what to do?

how in the right mind can people ignore this terrible problem..i think that the parents along with this so called ”rabbi” have major problems..when somebody was molested then you have to speak up..if you don’t, the problem will haunt you the rest of the victims lives..yes it can be embarressing to the victim, but the molester needs to be taught harsh lessons..not just for three days, but the rest of their lives…if they aren’t taught, then they will think that its okay…but please, I urge you, if someone you know was a victim encourage the victim that its okay to talk about it, and you can give them the name of the person who harmed them….and it won’t be Loshon Horah….
the problem is that its hard to trust people these days….and the scary thing is that even big Rabbonim don’t want to talk about it….and this is scary…..if we can’t talk to the Rabbonim, then who can we trust….my feeling is first go straight to Hashem and ask Him to lead you to the right path of who to speak to….and I guarantee, He will help you if you just ask…..
