Utrecht, Netherlands – A Utrecht magistrate has given one man a €400 fine and another 30 hours community service and a three week suspended jail term for shouting anti-Jewish slogans during a demonstration against Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

The two were found guilty of shouting ‘Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas’ during a demonstration by around 100 people in the centre of Utrecht last month.
In his statement the judge said he wanted to send out a signal that this sort of behaviour would not be tolerated, news agency ANP reported him as saying.
‘You can shout many things at a demonstration but this is so upsetting and offensive that it is a criminal act,’ he was reported as saying.
The video below depicts Dutch parliamentarian Harry van Bommel of the Socialist Party and other Leftist useful idiots calling for intifada against Israel during a Jew-hate, pro-jihad terror rally in Amsterdam Jan 3 2009 — while the crowd behind them (at 1:05) chants “Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas.”
Great news! i am very glad that this judge is not allowing haters to get off free.
Of course, it would be nice if he fined him more, but this is better than a lot of news I’ve been hearing from Europe lately.
Nothing New in Utrecht
Pretty impressive. I don’t think a US judge would do that.
…And these are the [poor, underprivileged] starving palestinian “children” –hailing from the “Israeli-occupied” territ[o]ries — that the (bleeding heart) New York Times was ranting about?! Rather, they are the offspring of the “youngsters” who were feeding off (Gen.) Moshe Dayan’s Milk for Palestinian children program, where the [palestinian] mothers were standing by (outside the tent) and “shepping nachas” while their “shefelech” were inside the tent being fed milk and kokosh cake! How naive, of a smart Battlefield General. He really thought he’s making friends for Israel and the Jewish people! Check out the pictures of ’67, immediately post the Six-Day-War!!!
It’s nice to hear that an antisemite was punished, but it would be better if the Netherlands didn’t have such laws. Geert Wilders is also being prosecuted under this “hate speech” law. In the USA everyone can say whatever they like; unfortunately that includes antisemites, but that’s a price well worth paying.
