After the 8:23 p.m. accident at Flushing and Marcy avenues, the drunk driver allegedly sped off.
A member of the Shomrim patrol gave chase in his own car while calling other volunteers and the police.
After a 20-block pursuit, the volunteers and cops boxed in the suspect’s car and arrested him. His name was not immediately available.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, and the driver arrested and charged for DUI.
