William Jones-Brown, 17, jumped from between two parked cars and punched Mordechai Spielman, 15, who was walking on Montgomery Street near Brooklyn Avenue at 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Spielman found a cop a block away while his schoolmates “took their bikes and they blocked the guy from getting away.”
where is al sharpton? this is racisim. the yeshiva buchir got this black boy angry since he’s white, so the black was victimized therfore he punched the buchir, or something similar maybe al has a better story
good work by the bochurim….there is always a shailah of whether to intervene in case the assaailant has a weapon bu in this case they did the right thing and hopefully the attacker will be prosecuted.
The kids are not certified to hold a assailant we got to “change” the way Jews deal with being attacked and just teach them to swallow it

#5 is obviously mistaken. Firstly, the victim’s life was apparently not in danger.
Secondly, the risks of intervening to save a person’s life have to be compared to the risks to the victim. In halacha, the poskim talk about “vadai meis” versus “safek” etc.
Unfortunately, our yeshivas do not encourage physical fitness, let alone weight lifting classes or [chas v’shalom!!!] classes in karate and other forms of self-defense.
These boys therefore did the best they could, by blocking the escape of the perpetrator.
However, perhaps had the ‘victim’ been trained or any of his buddies been trained, the perpetrator might have learned a different sort of lesson than the misdemeanor charge he will get–which will probably be dropped.

Were is the DA making investigative grand jury for this thug .What about the other week were another jewish guy got severly beaten. As well other few more cases the past few months. I smell anti semetic crimes here. I think when the elections come for new DA people should not vote for him. Because voting for him is against the torah.
