Jerusalem – Thousands of Charedi children from the “Talmudei Torah” elementary schools attended a marching from the Shabbat Square in downtown Jerusalem to the Safra Square in protest against the decision to open a parking lot at the site on Shabbat.

Th event was called by the Edah HaChredit. The children recited teh Shema prayer, and were holding flags which read in Hebrew “Jerusalem was only destroyed because its inhabitants desecrated the Shabbat”. (Talmud: Shabbat 119b)
Maybe the adults can learn some derech eretz from these yinglach. Note that they did not attack the police or throw rock or burn dumpsters.
I wonder if those sackcloth thingys need tzitzis.

Q: why did this massive protest not make Ynet Haaretz Jp headlines?
A: the same reason there are so few comments on this protest the oilim just likes to bad mouth the chareidim
B’H Bless the edah the sake of Klal Israel!
i dont see any ze’kinim or rabonim do they care about this at all?
What a beautiful kiddush hashem. Let us all combat the evil chillul shem shomayim befarhesya, being brought on by the NOT jewish state of israel
i was there it was goergous bout ten thousand people saying tehilim and davening massive kiddush hashem so stop dissing all these people they are doing it lsheim shamayim!!!!!!
This is the sort of demonstration I can respect. While I may not 100% agree with the thought processes here, a respectful, appropriate and meaningful demonstration is a much better option than diaper bombing the mishtarah.
Therefore, if there was Shabbat desecration and yerushalayim was destroyed because of that, why don’t we see in the same Talmud the protest, that tells us that the need to protests is a new 21st century fashion?
