The soldiers were instructed to act respectfully towards the residents and refrain as much as possible from eating, drinking and smoking in public in front of the Palestinian population, particularly at crossings, during the fasting hours.
According to the IDF, the ease of restrictions is part of a policy aimed at improving the fabric of life of West Bank’s population.
During the month of Ramadan, the activity hours of crossings leading to the cities of Jenin and Ramallah will be extended until midnight every day. The rest of the checkpoints will operate as usual, for 24 hours a day.
Men over the age of 50 and women over 45 will be allowed to enter the Temple Mount for Friday prayers.
The security forces have been updated that ahead of the end of Ramadan, and as part of preparations for the Eid al-Fitr festivities, Palestinian children may be carrying weapon-shaped toys and firecrackers.
Its amazing how they try to appease these animals and would do anything for them, try telling them not to smoke on shabbos in a chareidy neighborhood, it’s disgusting!
Why is that?
On Yom kipur 1976 when we fast they gave us to test (Bombs) why do we have to respect them when they don’t respect us?
Anybody?
i don’t like the weapon shaped toys
What hypocricy!!!!!!!!! on Tisha Bav the soldiers drink in front of the Kotel, but now in honor of the palestinians the soldiers will refrain from eating, drinking and smoking for an entire month!!!!!!!!!!!!
The IDF needs to do more to show their sensitivity and respect for Islamic custom and culture. This is a good start. Learning arabic and a basic introductory course should be required for all IDF officers given that even after a peace settlement, there will still be a very large arab population living in those portions of the West Bank retained by EY.
let’s hope they don’t repay us with bombs.
Soon no Jew will be able to breath next to an arab or look his/her way!
Tomorrow’s Headline:
“Soldiers to Refrain from Speaking, Praying and Breathing in Front of Palestinians”
that is what you get from the arabs total hypocrocy! what do you expect from them? we gotta keep on giving and what do we get suicide bombers rockets and destructiion!
Maybe they should stop breathing in front of palestinians.
The Israelis act SO humane and go out of their way so much. If only the Palestinians would reciprocate just a bit!!
I don’t understand why in the state of israel when it comes to islamic religion it is ok to force it on the jewish people but when it comes to the jewish religion it must be a rule of don’t force religion on the jewish people ?
