Albany, NY – New York Gov. David Paterson is trying out a new look – he’s lost the beard but kept the ‘stache.

When asked Monday why he shaved the beard he’s had for as long as anyone remembers around Albany, he joked it came down to “more cutbacks.”
Paterson, who’s seeking election in 2010, says his son suggested the change. He joked that the fresh shave wasn’t inspired by a letter from a little girl, like the one who famously urged President Lincoln to grow a beard.
Paterson’s trademark salt-and-pepper beard was a key makeup element in satire of the legally blind governor on “Saturday Night Live.” He may have been the first New York governor to sport a beard in a century. Portraits show Gov. Charles E. Hughes had one back in 1907.
He will not be able to be buried in kj.
After all is said and done….. He finaly is good looking!
he looks better without it. It made him look rather like a seedy, bummy character.
very “handsome”
Now he looks like a bus driver.
No matter what he does, I will never find him appealing as a political figure because he just can not relate to people nor connect to them. I sometimes forget that he is a governor. Rudi is a political magnet and I’d vote for Rudi any day.
A little like Michael Jackson now!
he removed his hadras panim. now he doesn’t look as nice.
In Yiddish there is a corny saying that you “have” everything that is Bashert, except a beard.
Which if it is Bashert, you don’t have it.
Not a bad fellow and does he looks much better…before it was a scruffy look….but more important still a terrible Governor.
