Israel – Patrol cars driven by Israel’s police force are easy on the eye – too easy, say senior police officials.
“The color of the patrol vehicle definitely contributes to the effectiveness of police in preventing crime,” a senior police official said, and unfortunately, the official said, the current white cars that police drive are not making enough of an impression – on criminals and on citizens.

As a result, the official said, police will be experimenting with a new color pattern for their vehicles – dark blue, with markings in white.
“Most police forces have vehicles that make a strong impact, and we need to do the same,” the official said. Use of dark blue vehicles will be instituted in several areas over the coming months, and if the project is successful, the project will be widened to encompass most divisions of the Israel Police.
The nypd (the best police force in the world) only has white cars and they are very effective and thy make a great impression! (In fact: they changed from blue to white! And laitly they are even chainging the traffic police cars from black to white!) It just that the isrealy police are slow and dumb people tha could not even take care of a few charidy kids! Nothing will help them!
In new york the color white on a car is not so often seen as in israel, that can be a reason why white cop cars can make the right impression here in NY, but not in Israel.

The grass is always green’er on the other side! NYPD had blue cars, they changed to white. Israel has white cars, they are changing to blue! Anyway, #2 is right, if you think about it, all the taxis in Israel are white, so when you see a police car, you don’t know if its a police or a Monit!
I think the reason why NYPD changed to white because it was cheaper to buy them white than to have to re paint the cars to blue. The problem with white is that all the cars look so filthy.
NYPD is not the best police force in the world. They are good but the days were NYPD was the role model is long gone. NYPD has transformed into community policing as aggressive crime fighting days are long gone. The white was chosen to save money but the side reflective decals are still authoritative.
Israel needs to emulate the black and white scheme of the LAPD and change their decal designs, also they must change their nasty uniforms into sharp looking uniforms which will demand authority.
For example IDF is the worst looking army in the world where even officers look like sloppy amateurs. Same with Israel police.
