Leesburg, VA – There have been displays with a Christmas tree, creche and menorah in years past, but holiday displays are out this year at one Virginia courthouse.
The grounds committee for the Loudoun County Courthouse has banned all decorations, saying requests for displays year-round have become unmanageable.
A petition has been circulating to bring the decorations back, however. The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors will discuss the ban at a meeting Monday evening.
The Rotary Club of Leesburg has put a Christmas tree on the grounds of the courthouse for almost 50 years.
