Massachusetts – Angry residents of Newton, Mass., a heavily Jewish Boston suburb, are demanding an apology or else the resignation of two city officials, after they sponsored a resolution inviting a Guantanamo inmate to move to the town upon his anticipated release.

The resolution was unanimously approved by a subcommittee of the Board of Aldermen before sparking a public outcry once community members learned of the proposal. It ended up being dismissed by the full board at a meeting last week, but many residents are still furious that the issue got as far as it did.
The resolution cites Abdul Aziz Naji’s local connections ‹ he is represented pro bono by two Newton-based lawyers ‹ in expressing a willingness to “welcome this cleared detainee into our community” as soon as Congress repeals the ban on settling released Guantanamo prisoners in the U.S., which the resolution also urged.
One of those opposed to the resolution, Charles Jacobs, saw a silver lining in it nonetheless. “Why don’t you bring them, because that will be the real torture,” he quipped about Naji. “He’ll have to see assertive feminists and happy gays and Jews and Christians who are free … all living happily together.”
That just might be a different kind of torture.

Much ado about nothing….the terrorism experts have determined this prisoner is no longer a threat to anyone so the erhlich citizens of Newton should simply “get over it” and welcome this individual (who has been wrongfully detained) into their community. One of his two lawyers is also a chashuve yid so don’t make this into a deliberate “anti-semitic” action.
What sickness of the left wing communists. They don’t care that half the released Guantanamo Arabs have gone back to terrorism when released. They don’t care about the safety of the USA. The communists are in favor of hurting our great Nation. We must protest this with all our voices. No to Terror Supportors. We don’t want CHILD MOLLESTORS or ARAB TERRORISTS living in our communities. PERIOD. Send them back to Saudi Arabia.
Newton Jews voted 3 to 1 for Martha Coakley who WANTS the terrorists tried in NYC yet they balk when it comes to bringing them to their Liberal Suburban Hell? What damn hypocrites. I lived there for 10 years and the only kosher restaurant went out of business for lack of customers. They were all fressing in treif restaurants!
