Phoenix, AZ – Nonprofit Group to Launch Nazi Ad Against New Immigration Law

Thanks to a new strict immigration law, a nonprofit is planning to launch an ad in the Phoenix New Times, featuring the controversial Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Governor Jan Brewer, who signed the bill into law. Both are illustrated clad in Nazi apparel.

Under SB 1070, state and local law enforcement will be allowed to determine the legal status of anyone at anytime, among other provisions, including making it a crime to be in Arizona illegally. Many believe it will lead to racial profiling.

“While Governor Brewer claims that this new law will not sanction racial profiling, in its real world application it will undoubtedly lead to legalized discrimination and persecution,” states Craig Rosebraugh, a second year law student at Arizona State University and spokesperson of the nonprofit Responsible Education and Media. “The Governor had the opportunity to veto this bill and to work towards providing an innovative and progressive solution to the immigration issue. Unfortunately, she decided to instead resort to the dark ages of Nazi Germany.”

REM’s ad will appear in the New Times this Thursday and encourages readers to take action by contacting the Arizona Attorney General, the U.S. Department of Justice and President Barack Obama to challenge the constitutionality of the law. But the issue can be politically sensitive for some. As the Atlantic Journal-Constitution noted in a headline, Arizona has pushed Congress into immigration minefield.

I am thinking about changing my moniker to LIBERALISM IS IDIOCY because all this law does is say that if you are an ILLEGAL alien, you are NOT LEGAL. What a concept!!

We should make a huge protest against this ad, as it is racist, implying the Jews are unlawful and need documentation to prove that they are not illegals, as the illegal migrants are.

How any Jew in his right mind can support the Arizona law is beyond me. Understand that under any pretext whatsoever (the law changes the entire basis for reasonable cause) a police officer can demand to see papers, and if you don’t have them on you, he can arrest you.

For over 200 years, America has proudly not required those within its borders to carry or show papers to the authorities understanding that this is indeed the first step towards totalitarianism. Don’t be mislead by the rhetoric. this has nothing to do with crimefighting. Undocumented aliens commit crimes at no greater rate then the general population.

If this law isn’t struck down, the impact on crime would be negligable but there would be a huge shortage of maids, gardners, builders, cleaners, driver, custodians and babysitters. This is about white angry scapegoating brown people, and when they’re done with the brown people, they’ll move in on the Jews.

This ad is offensive and mitigates the crimes the Nazi’s committed.

this would be totally overdoing it, whatever side you’re on. I’m not going to discuss whether the law is just or not in this post, but I will say that there is a big difference between the what the nazis did and deporting people who are not in your country legally. This needs to be protested by all Jews because it is ‘m’mayet’ the crimes of the holocaust. It makes it look as if the nazis were only deporting Jews in a time when people are questioning the facts of the holocaust, they’re questioning how bad the nazis actually were. This poster needs to be stopped.

Well, the new law lets police stop anyone who looks hispanic and demand papers. That is pretty similar to certain aspects of Nazi laws.

Good for the governor, in addition to the boost this will give Arizona, they now get ad revenue from idiots across America.

Nearly every state in the country requires proof of citizenship or immigration status before obtaining a drivers license yet no one is calling the DMV Nazis — well not for that anyway.

We also require EMPLOYERS to require proof before they hire someone. HMM. I wonder if the same people who condemned Rubashkin as a criminal for hiring illegals are the same ones calling AZ a Nazi state.

The law allows cops to do in Arizona what they can do in any other country–stop people to make sure they’re there legally. That’s certainly true in countries liberals love to admire, like France, Cuba, and Venezuela.
