I guess its good. The fact that she’s taking time a least suggests that she’s considering lessening the sentence.

the reason the immagration charges where dropped is becasue rubashkin is not the one that flaseified the documents it was some supervisors

    http://eyeonagriprocessors.org/?zone=view_article.cfm&HomeID=88488

this is the original documents filed by ICE on the raid and why they got the warrant it’s worth it to read to understand the case and the website it’s on was created by the union to destroy rubashkin

I belive that its a positive sign and the judge is taking everything into consideration before she comes to a final decision, cos if she wanted to CV’ throw the book at him she would have done it today…

Three weeks of ulcers, high blood pressure, and elevated testosterone levels all around. It might be best to ignore the shouting. None of it will have any impact on the judge’s decision. All it will do is make Jews hate each other.

I think that this is good news. It seems that she was all set to give him life in prison and then saw the outcry from all the former attorney generals, judges and other prominent lawyers and has to change everything to fit the reduced sentence she’s going to give Rubashkin.

He has more time to relect and to show REMORSE. Write a letter NOW and tell the judge you are SORRY.

It is probably not a good sign.
If SMR supporters packed the courtroom (which they did) and the judge fears a possible riot will ensue, the Judge can delay the sentence and later submit a written sentence rather then pronounce sentence in the courtroom.
The biggest thing going aganst SMR is … SMR.
His refusal to admit guilt, make restitution or provide financial information which could benefit the court in finding restitution, and the overwhelming support of a community that denies his guilt all point to a decision not favorable to SMR.
Remember one of the purposes of incarceration is to deter others from doing similar things. When an entire community supports a crook and turns a blind eye to his chilul hashem, you can be sure the court will take notice and want to send them a message that this will not be tolerated in a midinat shel chesed. I certainly do not think he deserves life in prison and pray he will not receive such a harsh sentence. But he is going to get substantial time behind bars.

Your political analysis is flawless, just like your grammar, spelling, logic and legal acumen.

what is a “judges arbituary”? Did you mean “Judge’s obituary”?
