Williamsburg, NY – The New York City Council has approved a plan to redevelop a section of Brooklyn waterfront where the renowned Domino Sugar refinery once stood.

The plan at the 11-acre site in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood will preserve the refinery building and the widely recognized 40-foot-high Domino sign.
The development will include 2,200 apartments, a public esplanade, retail shops, cultural space and office space. The plan calls for 660 of the apartments to be for lower-income New Yorkers.
Domino began operations at the site in 1856. The East River fixture closed in January 2004, and was later granted landmark status.

WHAT!!!!!!! A thanks ?? For what?? How many jews will live there ??? Its going to bring us more bikers & not good thinks & then rabbi nedrerman will need to fight it !!! For what?? Sham on u all who have a hand in it
Its good for willy that the council did not give in to those trying to force the developers to include more subsidized housing units for poor families with lots of children. We have too many of those types of units and don’t want this beautiful site to look like a public housing project.

What does this outstanding development from one of the leading archtictural and planning firms in the U.S. have to do with “bikers & not good thinks” whatever that means in your version of the English language. Also, why do you think young jewish couples would not want to live at such a beautiful location with easy access to Manhattan and all of the amenities planned for the site. You obviously live in a private world of darkness and conspriacies which the rest of us have no idea of what you are talking about.
After reading the last six messages at least we will have in our area more people who speak a proper english
